Scrubbing Plant

The gases released in smelting, whose sulphur dioxide content varies, are sent to the gas cooling and scrubbing section of the acid plants, where solid particles are removed and the gas’s temperature is reduced. Gas cooling and scrubbing is done with water in a closed circuit, so there is no discharge.
