Huelva, 09/01/2024. Huelva-based metallurgical company Atlantic Copper and Adecco Learning & Consulting, a world leader in human resources solutions, have launched the announcement of a training program (120 spots) for Basic Metallurgical Plant Operations, with a 40% hiring commitment.
This initiative, financed by the Regional Ministry of Employment, Enterprise and Self Employment of the Government of Andalusia, will remain open until January 17. Its objective is to train future professionals within the framework of the CirCular project, whose treatment plant for non-ferrous scrap metal from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), previously processed by authorized agents, will begin operations in the last quarter of 2025.
With an investment of 360 million euros and creation of 350 jobs during its construction, CirCular will have the capacity to process 60,000 tons per year of this type of e-scrap, which contains a high concentration of metals such as copper, gold, silver, platinum or palladium. These metals are essential for the great transitions of the 21st century, such as the energy or digital transitions.
The training program will take place from February to July 2025, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., though starting on June 30 and for the entire month of July the schedule will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The total duration will be 500 hours. To qualify for one of the 120 spots, candidates must be registered as unemployed applicants seeking work, both when they present the official registration and the first day they attend the course. Upon completion of the program, students will receive an official certificate from the Public Employment Service. In addition, those with the best results will have the opportunity to join the Atlantic Copper workforce at the end of the training.
Applications to enroll in the program will be available from January 13 to 17 online at www.proyectocircular.com. Those interested must enter with their digital certificate, filter for the province of Huelva and look for folder 98/2024/I/0001. Once the application is completed, applicants must attach their curriculum vitae and school diploma. Registration is also possible using this QR code.
Applications can also be presented in person at the Territorial Employment, Enterprise and Self Employment Office in Huelva, located on Avenida del Saladillo, s/n, Vista Alegre building, from January 13 to 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. It is important to bring two copies of the documentation, since one of them will be stamped as a receipt.

Our main goal is to offer real quality employment opportunities: This not only benefits participants, but also contributes significantly to the development of local talent. We are committed to creating a work environment where everyone can reach their full potential.”
For her part, Celestina García Pérez, head of the Atlantic Copper project at Adecco Learning & Consulting, stressed that this is a great opportunity for access to employment, a public-private partnership that works. According to García Pérez, “it is essential to reinforce new job profiles in Huelva’s capital, giving them knowledge and training to improve their employability and thus provide continuity and solutions for the company’s growth.”
The head of Adecco Learning & Consulting for the Atlantic Copper project said that “Adecco offers opportunities to companies that have difficulty finding profiles where there is a shortage, and every region has these free resources 100% funded by the regional employment ministries, which companies can take advantage of. This is training with a commitment to hiring. The company makes the request and Adecco is responsible for everything from the selection of the students and the execution of the training to monitoring the subsidy justification. A whole turnkey project, ready for the company to hire the staff it needs and cannot find otherwise.”
