  • Competitions, such as the Spanish Mathematical Olympiad.

Social

Together with the DKV Integralia Foundation, we are promoters of the Huelva Digital Diversity Hub: a labor inclusion project that provides ten training actions to over one hundred participants with disabilities who want to improve their employability by acquiring digital skills. Currently, 60 of the participants are in the insertion phase and 35 have already been hired.

La Fundación Atlantic Copper es un fiel reflejo de nuestro compromiso con la comunidad.

Natural setting

Our facilities are across from the Marismas del Odiel Nature Reserve, an area declared as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Therefore, our work is based on persuasion, developing informative actions that promote the importance of respecting the area and disseminate their information throughout society.

In 2011, we signed a collaboration agreement with the Regional Government of Andalusia to promote education and environmental awareness in Huelva broadly with regard to its natural environment.

In 2014, we received the Regional Government of Andalusia’s Environment Award in the Business and Environment category.

  • We have invested more than 1 million euros in actions related to the environment. We create infrastructures for the observation of bird species.
  • We lead environmental education projects with educational centers in the province and city of Huelva, such as the Explorers School and My Marshes, My School.
  • We produce informative publications about the bird life in the Marismas del Odiel wetlands and about the presence of the otter in this natural setting.
  • We coordinated the European SISTEM project to create a manual of good practices in industrial environments in the EU based on the experience of Atlantic Copper and its Foundation.
  • In 2022 we signed an agreement with the Andalusia Environmental Information Network, which works under the Regional Ministry of Sustainability, Environment and Blue Economy, to collaborate on three fundamental lines of action: the production and exchange of environmental information, the dissemination and access to environmental information, and execution of research and development activities.

Culture

  • Official collaborators of the Huelva Festival.
  • We promote knowledge about our province’s archeological heritage through public-private projects with the Regional Government of Andalusia:
    • Recreation of the Tartessian chariot of La Joya.
    • Sponsorship of the exhibition ‘Idols, Millenary Glances’.
    • New lighting for the Roman water wheel from Riotinto, on display in the Museum of Huelva.
    • Interactive lectern to explore the Museum’s main pieces.

Social Sport

  • King’s Cup Tennis, 10k Race and the Badminton Tournament for a good cause.
