María Elena Sanz Ibarra holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid and a diploma in Executive Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, in addition to an Executive Master’s in the Program for Management Development (PMD) at IESE Business School and a certificate in Human Change Management from Cranfield University (UK).
With more than 20 years of international experience, she has led large-scale organizational transformations, holding high-level executive positions and guiding transformation and innovation processes at organizations such as BERGÉ, ContourGlobal, AES Gener, Compañía Minera del Pacífico and Agbar, as well as in the Chilean Government’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.
Her contribution to the development of female leadership is particularly notable, especially as a driving force behind initiatives focused on increasing the presence of women in executive roles, such as PROMOCIONA Mujer Chile, in collaboration with the CEOE and CPC. In 2015, she was recognized as one of the “Top 100 Women Leaders” in Chile by El Mercurio and Mujeres Empresarias, solidifying her status as a role model in leadership, people management, and organizational transformation.
