Our company manages people’s diversity based on the personal needs and characteristics identified for each individual or group.

At Atlantic Copper, the employee benefit policy plays an essential role in HR management. These benefits affect economic, social and work areas and include, notably, those deriving from the collective working agreement and the Equality Plan.

Our employees are the company’s top asset, so facilitating their job performance and work-family life reconciliation are priority objectives.

In this area, the company has developed numerous initiatives. Some of them have been in force for many years, and others have been added to respond to new needs.

These benefits include the company cafeteria, where the cost of meals is subsidized 95%; financial assistance for schooling, for workers and their children at all stages of the official education system; or health insurance and life insurance.

The Equality Plan and work-family life reconciliation

With regard to the Equality Plan and work – family life reconciliation, the company establishes measures that make increased family reconciliation in the initial stagespossible, adding two weeks of maternity and paternity leave to the time mandated by law.

Flexible hours for workers attached to certain jobs is also a noteworthy benefit, as it means they can adapt their time of entry to their family needs.

To improve certain situations in the family environment, the Family Plan, in collaboration with theADECCO Foundation, supports those employees with children or spouses with special needs. The plan consists of personalized accompaniment through which they are provided with the best resources for their family members’ social inclusion and job integration.

Reconciliation

Women employees in Atlantic Copper already enjoyed two weeks of maternity leave in addition to those mandated by law, so maternity leave at Atlantic Copper was already 18 weeks.

To implement one of our values – our people focus – and as a sign of our company’s ongoing commitment to fostering the balance between personal and professional time, the initiative was taken to extend both maternity and paternity leave by two weeks.
